Quiet Logistics Adds Robotic Capacity, Plans West Coast Expansion

Capacity Demands of New and Existing Clients Drive Continued Investment

ANDOVER, MA – July 26, 2012 – Quiet Logistics, the eCommerce fulfillment provider of choice for premium brands in the fashion and apparel, health and beauty, and home goods sectors is pleased to announce an additional investment in Kiva Systems warehouse automation technology. The total investment comprising 3,100 storage pods, 93 robots and 13 work stations will allow Quiet to grow its east coast capacity and develop complementary west coast capacity.

“In addition to exceptional levels of fulfillment service, our clients are looking for geographic options and coverage including 1-2 day ground shipping options for east and west coasts,” said CEO Bruce Welty. “Quiet Logistics’ most recent investment gives us the flexibility to grow existing geographies and pop up new ones on demand.”

Quiet Logistics is currently developing a west coast QuietCenter for operation in first quarter of 2013. New Quiet Logistics customers include fast growing women’s fashion etailer Nasty Gal, recently launched online men’s fashion brand Peter Manning and Mack Weldon, a new on-line concept for men’s basics.
